Author Peter Fry with the genuine Ryder Cup
Peter Fry is a familiar figure on the golf scene having taken on various roles including being a golf club secretary, a sponsor of junior golf, a Ryder Cup volunteer and the founder of a charity golf tournament. As an author, Peter has perpetuated the memory of the talented Whitcombe brothers with his book ‘The Whitcombes – A Golfing Legend’ and had the pleasure of writing the centenary history of Samuel Ryder’s home club, Verulam Golf Club at St Albans. Peter is a member of Came Down Golf Club in Dorset and Ryde Golf Club on the Isle of Wight.
